POWER A PROJECT
sponsor a microgrant
Not My Generation’s work is rooted in grassroots, community-level change. And this approach has proven historically effective in curbing gun violence, from Chicago’s Safe Streets to Baltimore’s Ceasefire 365. Our microgrant program directly enables local activists to organize in their community to reduce gun violence, be it supporting alcohol and drug rehabilitation efforts or implementing violence interrupters. Your funding will directly support local programs aimed at creating tangible change.
SEED A COALITION
What do the most powerful movements of the last 200 years have in common? Uniting people towards a common goal. Not My Generation takes a unique approach in fighting gun violence, insisting that homelessness, poverty, racism, environmental justice, amongst more, all have an intertwined fight for reducing violence in America. Seeding a coalition allows you to bring together all these various organizations on a local level, coordinating an intersectional effort for gun violence prevention. Seed funding will go towards forming the coalition and sponsoring their first prevention efforts. For more details on the coalition model, visit here.
